3D Modeling and Animation
Get ready for an awesome five鈥慸ay adventure in 3D modeling and animation! All week long, you鈥檒l dive into the world of digital art and bring your ideas to life. We鈥檒l start with simple shapes and build up to cool, complex models. Then, you鈥檒l make them move by adding animations with armatures鈥攖he digital skeletons that give your creations action!
You鈥檒l get hands鈥憃n practice with every step of the process: shaping meshes (your model鈥檚 building blocks), changing their look, adding colors and textures, setting up lights, experimenting with fun effects, and finally rendering your masterpiece so it shines on screen.
Best of all, everything happens in 海角视频鈥檚 brand鈥憂ew Digital Production Lab. By the end of camp, you鈥檒l have your very own 3D models and animations to show off!

I am naturally positive, confident, and creative, and I eagerly anticipate teaching at the 海角视频 Summer MovieMakers Camp.
In 2000, I traveled to Cambodia with my colleague, Matt Scott, to create a documentary titled “Floating on Lotus Flowers.” Two years later, in 2002, we returned to produce our second documentary, “Devotion.” Both films were well-received and won the Best Picture award at the Regional Hometown Video Festival and the UMass Lowell Film Festival.
Additionally, I鈥檝e been proud of the achievements of my students at Westford Academy. During the Merrimack Valley Film Festival in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017, our entries won awards in four categories: Best Fiction Piece, Best Writing, Best Editing, and Best Videography. My students also achieved recognition at the MassDOT 鈥淪afe Streets Smart Trips鈥 Video Contest and the Salem Film Festival.
